These strainers are not very sturdy. The paper is thin and buckles when wet or full of paint and the metal mesh separates from the paper easily, causing unstrained paint to enter the paint gun. The strainers I received did not look like those pictured in the ad. They get the job done, but you might want to consider a higher quality strainer.Practical designThe filters I got did not look like this. They are just paper and screen but the ones I got are not branded and the screens are white. They are just like the ones I get qt the hardware store 20/$1Straining paint, did the job really well.I use an HVLP sprayer to paint my doors, and I used these to filter latex paint before loading the sprayer. They do the job very well, and if I am quick and careful I can rinse one out after filtering and get 1 to 2 more uses out of each one.Nice. Exactly as described.I'd be lying if I said I have a lot of (if any, lol) with paint strainers, brands, pros and cons, etc. I don't really know what exactly makes a paint strainer a 4 star product... but...- The paper is light. At first, it was irritating keeping set in top of my HPLV tank. The strainers have flaps at the end, but for my smaller gun they were sitting way above anything to afix to. But i'd really have to two hand the strainer and paint pouring until the weight of the paint held the strainers down in place.- By the time I used my 10th to 12th one, I thought, who cares? I have like 80 more...- The mesh in the strainers are great. My sprayer hasn't clogged when using these. That's the point right? I used them to strain latex paint once even. It was slow to strain, but hey, it worked. I don't plan on ever spraying Latex out of that thing again, but if I needed to, these strainers are nice.- I found them to be very handy for straining older cans of Polycrylic. Pulls any globs right out. ... that's what they're supposed to do, right? lol...- None of them have fallen apart using them...I don't know what else you'd want out of a paper cone paint strainer, but I can't think of any thing else i'd need out of one either. If I want to start up a project needing paint or finish, these are really nice to have on hand.Product used in painting aircraft propellers and is just what we needed at a more reasonable price than elsewhere. My local hardware store stopped stocking bulk filters, which drove me to seek an alternative source. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as these were priced far below what I had been paying. The quantity may not suit the casual user, but for me, a cabinetmaker, these are a great deal and seem to be of good quality.I use these filters to strain paint into my spray gun. I find if your paint is on the thicker side, it doesn’t strain very fast and always leaves some in the bottom of the filter. I found adding water to thin my paint seems to get it through the filter easier. I’d purchase this againI wanted to spray paint on my fence. This saved me so much time cleaning up the clogged nozzle of the spray gun. Without is every 15 mins or so it used to get clogged. Worked as a charm.I would never want to paint without using these paint filters first. Will help you get a much better finish especially if using paint that had previously been opened and stored for more than a day. This will ensure you don’t have any dried up paint/debris in your pale/tray.I like these disposable strainers. They have a very fine sieve so protects my paint sprayer from blockages. They are a "one use" only sieve being made of paper, but the paper is quite thick and won't disintegrate while in use. When I don't need such a fine sieve, I use an old pair of pantyhose and strain through that.
